These guys are hard to photograph. this is the best I've done so far.

The ones we have here on the East coast are mostly black. Nver seen one with white wings like that.

I agree they're hard to capture... You did a good job.

They're common where I live, but when I see them they're always so high in the sky that my 400mm lens just doesn't have the reach to get any detail.

Thank you all. Thay do seem to stay out of reach but I came accross a hay field and they were turning the hay and these guys were staying low looking for dead mice so I took advantage.

Yours are most likely the Black Vulture and they are all black this is a Turkey Vulture and the back half of the wings are silver ( looks white to me but the book says silver ) with a pale bill.
