I have a Canon 10D and a few lenses, but if I were to buy a 'cheap' Canon G series which should I buy?

my only desires are:

takes CF II cards
compatible with a 550EX speedlite
4.0MP or above

I have a family event coming up soon where I have been asked to bring along my Canon MV700i (so it will be hard to also bring along my 10D with all the gear - so i thought that the Canon G might come in handy).

many thanks
Antaine

Canon: 10D, 17-40L, 300L/f4 and 550EX
Tamron 28-75 XR Di & Sigma 18-125 and 18-50 f3.5 DC

Hello Antaine, I have the G-5 to supplement the 10D, as they were both purchased within the same year, and coincidentally, I picked up the G-5 AFTER having the 10D for some of the reasons you mention here, plus they can both make use of the 550EX flash. :D
I'm sure that any of the "G's" will suit your purpose.
BTW, They may be inexpensive, but not Cheap. ;)

Hey, the G's are not cheap, they are just less-expensive

G6 does a great job for me!

You'll have to search this out.
Here's an example I found on ebay that finished at $305 USD.

This example went to $325 USD, with the reserve not being met.

Good Luck!
