Jones Beach, New York Fireworks Show, July 4th, 2009

Really my first whole hearted attempt at shooting fireworks. I shot some last year, but they turned out looking like warshack images, LOL...

By the way, this place gets crazy, there had to be 300,000+ people there, the traffic leaving was insane, almost 2 hours of traffic, but all in all, it was very well worth it, I look forward to it again next year.

I also just want to mention, that I shot all of these with the kit lens, on a tripod, with a remote release. The timing varies, but around 1 - 1.3 seconds, f/8.

These are beautiful! I love #4. Those stars are perfect. The moon adds a nice touch to them also.
