My co work had a friend that needed some shots of her adorable - i mean adorable little girl..

the whole shoot was less than 30 mins.. heck it took longer for me to figure the lighting, set up and find a place to work with her cutie..

i had a 430 exII with an umbrella to back light the hair and my trusty alien bee with beauty dish with the sock.. i brought my battery pack in and then set up my shots and realized i didn't need the battery pack.. ha ha.

for once i was working inside.. haha.

Excellent pham !
So I take it you like the BD ! ? I just ordered another Bee...and a BD, grid and sock ( sock is back ordered ). Ordered some other stuff too....but the BD is something I've really been wanting. Can't wait.

Again, great shots....and she is really precious.

From what it looks like, Mom's a cutie too....you need to do a mother/daughter shoot !

I like the shots. The ones where you are having her interact with/look at the camera are the better ones.

i can't believe the sock is out of stock.. the grid was out of stock for me.. waited like 3 weeks to get it..

thanks everybody ! the mother is sure to love these.. if i did, then of course she would..

I am looking forward to using the BD....that's for sure.
The sock is back in stock ! I just got an email from Carla at AB, and she said they just got them back in, so it too is coming with my order. I am at home on vacation this month....so this means I get to play with new toys !

Are these any better.. lamp was requested by the mother.. but i also think it better to crop in tight..

Phamster,
Maybe it's just me, but the first one I would cropped all the way in to where the lamp was totally gone. And don't take this wrong....( I'm not trying to tell you how to shoot ), but since the mommy wanted the lamp in the shot, I would have shot some that way, but then I also would have shot some from a slightly different angle so as to not include the lamp. Sometimes clients don't necessarily know what is going to look good vs. what is just going to be clutter.
That little girl is so cute, it would be hard to go wrong with getting shots of her !
