Here's a couple from my first serious attempt at taking photos of fireworks. While browsing through some of the other fireworks threads I picked up some pointers that I plan to use next time. Most importantly, next time I'll try to include foreground interests to give the photos more depth. Comments and critiques are always welcomed. Thanks for looking.

#2 definitely seems to convey some emotions, talk about pictures coming alive :)

They shoot the fireworks that make smiley faces here. We get Japanese companies introducing all their new fireworks every year in Waikiki.

As John said, #2 is actually a smiley face. As for the timing, I guess you can say I was really lucky.

TeeBoi, What lens and settings did you use? I think they all turned out great!
