Hi all,

I'm trying to add a fade/fog effect on some of my pictures, but still haven't found a way that works the way I want it to.

These are examples of what I'm talking about. Doesn't have to be too dramatic etc.! I know that actual fog would help, but that's not always possible inside etc. ;-)a

Any ideas? I tried with a white overlay/soft light layer, but no good...

Please help!

Thanks

Best regards

The city ones would be fairly easy. Create a new layer filled with the "fog" color, add a layer mask, and use a linear gradient from light gray to dark gray to create the mask. The grays you choose and how you do the gradient will determine the outcome.

Once you get that idea, you should understand how to create the mask for the portrait.

You may also need to do some color work on the original image. Post one up and I'll see what I can do for an example.
