I only have Lightroom 2 but I was wondering if anyone had tried both and if they are similar? If you have which is better? I'm sorry if this seems dumb, I just don't know anything about aperture. =/. thanks!

Lightroom does not. What this means is that you need a Mac with an OpenGL-compliant gpu to use it with the most efficiency. Other than that, it's largely a personal preference (I prefer Aperture). "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I just bought the latest and greatest imac (right below the mac-pro) and was considering aperature. Or should I just stick w/ lightroom 2? i tried lightroom 2 for a bit and it just seemed similar to DPP. I need to get a manual on the program so i can see what it can really do.

You should also watch the video tutorials of Aperture on the Aperture web page at Apple. "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

LR and Aperture are raw editing programs. If you're considering Elements, you should also consider Pixelmator. "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
