I have never tried any form of OCF.

so with that being said.. i dont know if im having a shannon moment, a 50d moment, or a cactus moment.

anyhow. I have been messing around with them, and i cant seem to get the v4s to sync in av mode at all. i was under the impression they could.

but when i go into the menue in the camera. and try and mess with the flash settings in camera, i get some error message saying that i have an incompatible flash, or my flash is off. i cant even change the flash setting to first or second curtain.

i have a 430 ex. and having issues with this.

if anyone else has any idea what im talking about.. let me know if you have any advice for me.

thank you in advance.

shannon.

PS>. if im in the wrong section.. feel free to move it, and on a side not.. the instruction booklet isnt very informative when it comes to this part of using the product.

GGGRRR!

make sure you shoot 1/160 or slower.

As for error message, why the hell would you be able to mess with flash settings with either 430ex or cactus? that only works with exII models (or the 300 something ex)

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

If you're trying to use ETTL, you can't do it with v4's. The only triggers that currently support ETTL are the new Pocket Wizards and Radio Poppers. Using any other triggers (v4's, Elinchrom Skyports, Cybersyncs, PWII's, etc.), you can only use full manual flash mode.
