I'll give you a quick rundown:

#1 Flag pole growing out of the middle car.
#2 Lighting is good. Try to blurr that un-interesting background.
#3 Turn the wheel the other way.
#4 Good compsition. Harsh sunlight is killing the details on the car.
#5 Looks good.
#6 Front plate is killing the shot.
#7 Seems soft. Reflections are distracting.
#8 Good angle. Maybe turn the wheel to the right alittle. Reflections are distracting.

i tagged along

I'm guessing that you had no say as to where they were placed?
As far as making the car look good, #2 is the best of the bunch. Crop a little more off the left side, clone the crud in the shot, & you've got the beginnings of a keeper.

In many of them the shots appear exposed for the background lit up by the bright sun and the cars are ending up underexposed.

1. Too much emphasis on the flowers and the middle car looks like a sailboat.
2. Would have worked if you had turned the car so the front end wasn't in the shadows.
3. Is kinda cool.
4. Another shot that would have bennefited from positioning the car differently in order to use the sun to light it better.
5. Works, but the car is a bit under exposed.
6. Again, turn the car a bit to get the sun to hit the front as well.
7 and 8 are lit wierd by a speedlight or flash I presume.

I have made and still make similar mistakes. Keep shooting.
