If the the background told more about the location, I would work to keep it but as it is now it could be anywhere from Singapore to Hongkong. Try cropping the image down and see if it still says what you intended. Or if it is critial to the story, perhaps just use PS to de-emphasize the wheel.

By placing him off center adds to that expression because viewers are now left thinking about what is causing that expression! Cheers,
