New Zealand Pigeon

While out on my deck cleaning my windows look what I came across.

I have lived in same house in Auckland for 13 years and never seen them before.

We had them around Hunua growing up but havnt seen any for a few years now.

I like the first, almost a typical shot...it is as if they have wood pigeon schools to learn how to pose

Nice shots of a pretty bird. If ours here had some color, people might pay more attention to them.

Very nice photos. We have half a dozen visit our place every spring/summer like clockwork to gorge on the plum trees (they know a free feed when they see one) neat to watch them clowning around.

For those of you in NZ, I live in the centre of Remuera, which makes the sighting even more odd.

We also get the "common" pigeon around here.

The NZ Pigeon's are much larger than the normal pigeon.
