i have a 24mm TS-E 1, so i could hopefully make some better panoramic photos. I have really enjoyed this lens. now i want the mkii to go with my 5Dmkii.

a little off topic. taken with the old 24mm ts-e

:D

I used the 24 with a lot of pleasure on 350D, 400D, and 40D, but somehow less so on 5D and 5D II. So I sold my old TS-E 24 a while back, to make place for either 17 or 24 Mk II - for me it will be the 17 on 5D II :D.

Kind regards, Wim

My god....I can't believe I missed it again. I STILL haven't received a notification that it's back in stock in any of the times B&H has had some stock. grrrrrr.

I'm sure I'll regret this once B&H gets a big shipment, but I went ahead and placed a pre-order for a 17mm ts-e at Adorama.

Anyone get theirs from Adorama yet? I'll be curious to see how long this takes....

I'm still on the fence on this lens. I know it's good but, I want this or the 14 L II. I can't make up my mind yet. Argh! :)

Agreed....but I must admit that I was just as excited by the 14mm L II when it was announced, so now I'll have both. Oh well, I get a lot of use out of my wide angles, so I'm fine with it. As soon as I stop using a lens on a regular basis, I put it up for sale.

Now i am ready to buy one of those new TS lenses, and i decided i will go with 24mm as most of the time i don't go wider except for landscapes and even not always wider than 24 or 20mm, but too bad they all out of stock, just i hope to get one before October, otherwise i may buy one there but then it will be too much with the tax applied then rather than shipped to me maybe.

Hehe! You can sell me your 14 L and get the 17 ts-e. :) I rented the 14 L II before and I was shocked at the performance stopped down to around f/8- f/11. Friggin' sharp! I may wind up like you and buy both. :)

You won't regret it once it's on your camera my friend. :) I'm in no rush atm but, I'll wait till the demand dies off. :)
