Im due to get married on the 7th May 2010 and am having real difficulty finding a photographer to shoot it.

Being such a special day i want to be as sure as possible that the pics will be awesome, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

And i know this is like asking how long a piece of string is, but what should i be paying?

Thanks

Hi Daz,

I'm in Ayrshire but I'm just getting into the whole wedding photography thing. Been doing commercial work/personal work for a while but I decided to do weddings, more satisfaction from doing something worthwhile.

I don't really know who to recommend to be honest. The only person who I could suggest would be Stuart Nimmo (A friend of a friend) http://www.stuartnimmophoto.com/ (external link) - I don't think his gallery has been updated in quite some time but he's a good guy, true to his word.

Good luck finding someone and do let us know how you get on.

Cheers John, like i said your work looks amazing!

My wife to be is from Erskine so i know what you mean when you say Scotland has some amazing scenery! I think my favourite has to be the drive to Loch Fyne.

Not to mention the food which is awesome! Hmmm king rib suppers!!!

Kinda wish it wasnt my wedding as id love to be 2nd shooter! By the looks of it i could certainly learn alot for you.

Chat to you tomorrow

Glencoe always does it for me esp when the mist is coming down - eerie isnt the word!

I got married last year and I used Duke Photography (external link). They're based in Edinburgh but they'll do Glasgow no problem. Their shots are really top quality, I can't recommend them highly enough to be honest.
