Interesting set...

Which lenses and camera did you use?

Where was this at?

I covered their performance a while back...locally, here in the Poconos..

It was in Oshkosh WI. There is a weekly concert series every summer about 5 blocks from my house so I've been going down for practice lately.

All but #6 were done with a Tamron 70-20 f/2.8 & #6 is a Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, both shot with a Rebel xt.

I'm trying to decide if I want to keep the Tamaron 70-200 or if the Canon IS version is worth the additional $700.00.

First and fourth are OoF. I'd bin those.

Some nice expressions in others. I like the B&W shot.

Here are two links to my attempt at them with a Canon 85mm prime on a 30D... No flash used...

The 85mm is an F/1.8 USM lens... and is pretty fast at focusing...

Some very nice shots. What ISO are those at?

I checked the EXIF for most of the pics and they are at ISO 1600... Though most have relatively slow shutter speeds, one must have been in a bright spot light and was at 1/3200...

Since I bought the 70-200mm F/2.8IS, I haven't been using the primes much at all... The IS version is absolutely *king* in my book for low light shows.

I'm very impressed how little noise is in those images.

Yeah, as in garbage bin. Delete ;)
One bad image is remembered longer then 10 good ones.

I used Noise Ninja on some of the pics... Though the lighting was real good for photos at this one particular show...
