He's mine. It was a total bust on behalf of the ref as he stepped into my frame. But the camera helped me out in the end and I actually like this frame. It was the last of a burst set. The others were garbage as the ref messed up a goal line battle. In the end, I think it works better actually!

The shorts on this guy! He was too funny as I was giving him some guff about his attire. I was messing with the video camera as he struck a pose and couldn't get the still camera up in time!

While a great officiating crew, they were terrible at corrdinating their attires.

Better at the dress like you mean it thing, these guys were a totally biased and blind officiating crew. I started calling them "The Three Blind Mice."

Paintball referees at smaller events don't usually have to wear a conformitory uniform around here:

These guys did a pretty good job all night long ref'n. Young and a little whistle happy, but I'd give them an over all grade of an A minus.

I still believe the two referees need to coordinate.. either both wear shorts or both long pants for basketball, though I wonder how many middle school refs even know each other b4 a game happens...

An AR/Linesman got in the way and tried to protect herself.. she obviously couldn't put her hand on the ice to keep her balance or risk losing a finger or two! A bit of a long crop, across the ice.

Three refs breaking up a scrum the end of Saturday's game (same ref in previous one from today's game is the one you see the back of)

Yep. I like to get shots of the referees during HS games.

1. Discussing a technical foul using the basketball like pitchers use their glove to obscure the conversation from others. Kinda funny, actually!

IMAGE: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a310/dsnyder160/DPP_145884TIF.jpg

2. Officials entering the field. Loved the backdrop provided by the green and gold team behind them.

IMAGE: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a310/dsnyder160/DPP_145252.jpg

Officials are always part of the game and action so I try to get some shots of them at nearly every game.

I find myself taking shots of the ref(s) a lot. Very helpful to me to check my shot settings. Here is one from a basketball game this past Saturday. This guy has been around a long time, and had a rookie with him working a scrimmage game.

I wonder if an 'irate coaches' thread would be fun.. :D
