I love my 124G as well, very quiet and portable compared to a Hassy 500cm.
I've opened mine to clean up the inside mirror and focusing screen but I'm still lusting for a Rollei, hoping to get a 2.8D or 2.8E next year.

Finally got around to developing the first roll I shot with my Super Ricohflex TLR.

Used T-Max 400 and developed in some D76 that expired 8 months ago. Just compensated by using a 2:1 solution, but going with 1:1 times.

These are at F4, IIRC. It's a 80mm 3.5 lens.

Dusted off my RB67 for some impromptu shots and to get rid of some color film that has been sitting in my fridge forever.

Shot from few years ago....Mamiya c330. Tmax 400. Rodinal. DSLR scan with D7000 and Tamron sp 90 f2.5. Original resolution is 6000 pixels...hehehe..

Very nice, classic portrait with perfect light!
I struggle to get something simple and great like this...

Shot this a while back. Just experimenting using a blue filter in front of my light source to balance out the orange mask. It seems to work fine...since now I can invert the color negative in CS5 with auto toning. In the past without balancing the orange mask during the negative capture, it was impossible. I had to use Vuescan instead.

Interesting. Any reason this would not work by putting a blue filter on the lens, rather than the light source? I can't think of one (I ask simply because I already have a blue filter - for tungsten-to-daylight correction).

It should work the same but I don't have a blue lens filter. In fact, my "blue filter" right now is a piece of cut out from a transparent blue binder divider. I have ordered a Kodak 3x3 gelatine CC50B filter on Ebay. $3 shipped. You can even use some flash gels over the light source if you can. The issue I have right now is that you get 2 stops lesser light. I have to bump the ISO to 400 instead of 100. And using 1/50s shutter speed instead of 1/80s.

Still, the inversion still have too much green and cyan initially (still correctable tweaking the tone curves of each individual RGB channel) but I can now at least invert in CS5, rather than using Vuescan. I still have to load up ColorPerfect in order to get a reference shot to fine tune my color balance. BTW, I am still using the ColorPerfect the trial version. If I have an extra $70, I would just invert it with Colorperfect and be done with.

As much as I have been a champion of the Vuescan/ColorPerfect method, I'd love it if I could skip that altogether. I'm also cognizant of the fact that, eventually, my scanners will die, and a replacement will either be unavailable or outrageously expensive. Irony of ironies: DSLR scanning is THE way forward for film shooters.

Yes, I am already using a tripod. I would like to avoid using too low shutter speed. I am happy with the DSLR scanning results. I love it so much that I would just rescan some of my older shots just to practice the workflow. Hehehe.... Now, I just need to get inspired to go out and shoot....

One of the nice things about DSLR scan is that you would never get the stupid bending lines (usually get them on your cheap scanner) on your sky or any where in the shot that has uniform color or tonality.

RZ67 with 110 f2.8. Kodak Portra 400. Original resolution is close to 7k pixels...
