Thanks to all for the responses and tips.

I figured it should work but , but again just wanted to make sure there wasn't some unknown " film factor" (unknown to me at least)

Been doing some research myself for a larger format film camera ..a pentax 67 or maybe mamiya 67?
Prefer something with interchangeable lenses .

The k1000 is fun but i find it a bit of a hassle to focus.. or perhaps my eyes are going

But then as i think about it this would be pretty much for portraits only so perhaps one of the fuji fixed lens cameras as they would be cheaper and woild get very limited use.

I would say look into a RB67 if you just want it for portraits. You can get them dirt cheap. They are big cameras but if you're not traveling with it, you should be good. I wish I would have gone with that before I bought my Pentax 6x7. My 6x7 just sits on the shelf now while my M645 1000s gets all of the use.

The inside of my Pentax 6x7 photographed with my Mamiya M645 1000s on Delta 100. The camera is being used as a parts doner.

I've never been able to get good results with Fomapan. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Delta 400 is my go to film though. I love Delta 100, 400 and 3200.

not a film shot .. but a post of some film..

the hp5 is of a recent shoot I did .. a few posts up I asked about using a digital camera as a light meter.. well that didnt go well for other reasons so I used continuous lighting(aputure 300d and 120d) for the entire shoot , digital and film

but anyway, I got some Fujifilm.. expired in 2001..

what are the odds it gives me something interesting at the very least?

it has not been properly stored.. its been kicking around in my possession for the past 7 years.(someon gave it to me). I totally forgot about it until just a few days ago I was doing some closet re organizing and bumped into it.

(the cinestill is also expired by a year, and I shot it at a family gathering..outdoors.. we'll see soon enough how that turns out)

I put a roll of ektar through my Flexaret a few weeks back and after giving the blades a work through the shutter speeds I left it at 1/25th instead of putting it back to 1/200th . Needless to say the roll turned out with a bit of a blurr and tad overexposed . The film can handle the overexposure , but the image stabilisation of the hands couldn't .
