I developed one of my rolls of color film today and screwed up the temperature so I ended up with color cast. I still like the way it looks though.

Too hot or too cold?

I think it was too cold. I made a stupid mistake of not making sure the lid was secure on the tank so as soon as I started inverting the tank, the lid came off and spilled a good bit of developer. I knew enough had spilled to not submerge the roll so I had to quickly pour more developer in which was at room temperature.

A new lens arrived today. I bought a 300mm f4 for my Pentax 6x7 in order to photograph ships and boats on the lake. The lens is huge and heavy. It's definitely not a lens I plan to walk around with.

I was able to take it out this evening to test it out. I'm going to try to develop the photos tonight when the baby goes to sleep.

I was expecting Tri-X 400 in 35mm to be a grainy mess when developing it in Rodinal. While it's pretty grainy, I like it. I'm definitely going to develop more Tri-X with it.

It doesn't look grainy to me either. Your photo reminds me of the images I took of my daughter when she was about that age using my Nikon F and Tri-X.

Shot at 400, Tri-x is a pretty film, even in Rodinal. It doesn't get enough credit for that. Nice shot.
