430EX with Cactus Trigger going crazy

I have recently bought a softbox setup for my 430EX flash and mount it on the hotshoe of a Cactus Flash Trigger on a lightstand. The problem is that the flash keeps going off by itself and not just when when I take a pic or trigger the Cactus trigger. Anybody have an idea of what is causing the problem?

Aye, crap triggers can do that. The solution is to buy decent equipment.

Hmm thought this might be the problem. Thing is, here in South Africa, there is not much else available. PW's can be got, but at a huge price.
