I may need to use a backup indoor location due to expected stormy weather. The orginal locale is just outside this building under a large gazebo. As a test I tried superclamping two AB800s with 7"reflectors on the columns on the far right and 2nd from left in this photo, high up on the 45 degree angle bracing. There's a very high ceiling so bouncing the light is not an option, but directing the strobes out at a horizontal plane, metered the same and slightly in towards the center produced harsh shadows of the angle iron above the lattice backdrop. I thought abought putting a third AB800 on the center column but don't have a third clamp.
My only other option I think is to bump up the ISO slightly and use a 580ex2 on bracket with a light sphere. The ceremony is at 5pm, so there shouldn't be any sun coming in through the upper windows. I should add this photo was taken earlier in the afternoon.
Any ideas out there who experienced something like this? Should I try the same superclamp/strobe setup without the 7" reflectors? I'm pulling for ideas....Thanks.
