Jul 11, 2009 12:08 | #1 I am preparing to use Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper in my R1800 for the first time. (Aside from canvas, it is the only quality roll paper that Epson lists for this printer.) I am also playing around with the Light's Right sharpening actions. They have different actions for matte and glossy output, which gets me to my question: Should I consider Premium Luster to be a glossy surface? I am assuming so, since Epson lists both as resin-coated papers. Tareq "I am very lazy, a normal consumer"  More info | Jul 12, 2009 05:23 | #5 I printed Luster paper with my Epson 3800 and i chose glossy option, and another day i use glossy paper and chose luster option in printer, both came great and didn't affect the result as i was choosing the right choice. Yeah, I have no problem printing on the paper (I have all of the Epson profiles). It was more a question of which The Light's Right shaprening actions to use. Thanks again for your repies. FYI, if you are using this paper be sure to use the right Epson profile, as it gives you the RPM option, which is higher resolution than the Best Photo option. This option is not available in the Glossy profile.
