Bought my new 5DmII! The bad news is I couldn't pick between the 16-35L, and the 24-70L (even after going to the store) =( so I didn't order it with my 5DmII.

Then my SGT was trying to get rid of his rebel xt. I told him I'd take it for $100 bucks. He gave me the entire bag (Like new) and as I went through it I found a SWEET 18-55 kit lense, and just this other like..50mm f1.4 USM. I was so excited I put the kit lense on right away!

=)

no - EF-S and FF don't mix...

The EF-S will (IIRC) mash up your mirror when you use the zoom.

Are you pulling our legs? You buy a 5D MKII and put an EF-S lens on it? Please tell us that you are just trying to be funny!

I wondered why a mirror fell out of one of mine a couple of months ago when I attempted just this, quite drunk

Confirmed then

It happened mate, but worry not, only cost just over a hundred quid to repair through Calumet; despite still being under warranty, (perhaps even for stupidity?) I needed a rush job on the repair given I had an all-day Photo shoot with the editor of BBC Wildlife magazine last Thursday, where I needed two bodies

And thank god I did; I forgot my 24-70 and had to do the entire day on my 50 and 85, which I pulled off, but did get a little hairy

Honestly, I think that's what I'm going to have to do!!

=) It's my only option. I have read that the new version of the 24-70 might be coming out soon. I might wait a little for that one though HMM. OPTIONS, OPTIONS.

That rumor has been around for years. Don't wait. It's my most used lens.
