Like when some newbie posts a 'wot lens, 100-400mm IS L or 10-22mm?' type question and then they have 9 months of feedback to mull things over before they can buy. Most will have bought and sold and quit the hobby by then. Isn't it the same with kids? Seems a great idea at the start and then time drips by, gets boring waiting and then, truth be told, you really wanna head off and take up power boat racing instead. So speaks a father!!!!! Cdeming wrote in post #8278478 Tell me about it...people are asking if we have any names yet or if we've decided on how we're going to decorate the nursery. HELLO! I'm only 6 weeks into a 40 week term! I think I have time. So glad I'm not an elephant...their gestation period is 22 MONTHS!I still find the differences between American English and British English oddly amusing. To me, a nursery is either a school for children younger than 5, or a kind of garden centre which specialises in baby plants, so to "decorate the nursery" means that you and Mr.Chrissy might be off with ladders, paint and brushes to re-vamp the local kindergarten sometime soon! How kind...especially as you're pregnant!!! "Whatever you do, enjoy yourself...otherwise, what's the point."

It is interesting how words differ in meaning, and spelling for that matter!

Honestly, my English classes are sort-after in the region (and long may it stay that way!!!) because I encourage my students to develop English with a Japanese accent, rather than forcing them to become little-Brits (or little-Americans). 20droger wrote in post #8282139 "Does the POTN collective want a boy or a girl?" I just hope she has a healthy and happy baby. Its sex, now decided, was completely up to her husband (we presume). And Chrissy, keep away from Skygod. He would send you to the operating theatre rather than the delivery room. And whatever color you choose to paint your nursery, he would say it's the wrong colour! Is it "Bash Skygod Day" today? Didn't notice it in my calendar..... "Whatever you do, enjoy yourself...otherwise, what's the point."
