Well skygod you may be a pom and I'm an Aussie and the Ashes is on.
But I will not see you picked on by colonial rejects.
Standing with you squire, firm against the foe.

Yes, I am a pom, and yes, you are an Aussie...which means we're both the same as our American cousins. I just wish they understood that they're born of man (or in lovely Chrissy's case, woman) and not from some other-worldly being.
Talking of which, how's Sarah Palin getting on?
;)
(C'mon mods, that can't be called "political" can it!)

Don't say that, John....I lost my Golden Retriever to lymphatic cancer in 1990, and my German Shepherd was taking from me (by a very unpleasant "ex")....on top of which, today is my last day working at my regular Junior High School after 5 years, so I'm emotional enough as it is.....

No worries mate....and back to Chrissy.....

How about some beer while we're waiting for you to name him/her, decorate the local garden centre, choose his/her university and put a deposit down for his/her first Hydrogen cell car?

Hang on get your priorities right...first cab off the rank is what camera combo first.
Now there's a lead in for naming as well.

Oooops!
You're right.

Ok, well, assuming Simon Dening (of course! if it's a boy, or Simone Dening if a girl;)) has normal hands for a newly born babe, I'd say a G9 or G10 should get him/her into things like Uncle Skygod!

Then aged 1, maybe we could find a good condition 30D with a 50m f/1.4 so s/he gets to understand how to really create a photo using bokeh....I think I might be done with mine by then!
:D

btw, have you noticed this is now the "John-and-Simon Show"?
Do you think our US-cousins have been scared off by an Ozzie and an insane Brit?

Well I hope not. Definetly need the input of our friends across the pond.
And sorry to correct you Simon but I think you'll find that Chrissys last name is Deming not Denning.
So come on you lot across the pond speak up.

Oh, we shall speak up. We shall, indeed. Just as soon as we can figure out what you two dialectal rejects were saying.
