I have not posted in a long while, with summer here finally it seemed like a good time to add something different to the sports section.

Experimenting with using studio strobes to light what is normally a day time sport.

C&C welcome

Nicely done.

What's the setup?

I'd guess you are at a location where there is a mechanical apparatus to pull the skier rather than a boat....but then, shot two puts you in the water.

They look good .....and the fella is a good skier too, nice carves.

Cheers.

Nice the second for the major attention of the player.
Nice the third for the wave caused by the player.

This was done in a private ski lake, the skiers are pulled by a boat but we did set one buoy just off the shore line to set up a strobe to fire from shore. A second strobe was in the boat. I was shooting from in the water on all three.

Both these skiers make their living doing it!

Thanks for looking,
Pete

Wow!! Very well done. That was a pretty elaborate setup as well as brave to get that much high end electronic gear near and in the water. With that level of dedication and creativity you really set the bar high for any competition you have in your area.

Again, outstanding results.

Thanks Kevin, I appreciate the comments. It was a lot of work to setup but we had fun and the results speak for themselves.
