hello and i hope every one is well .

i cant reply to every one but there been some supper shots and hats of to all .

as ive been ingrossed in getting this shot/s with my scope i havent had chance to do anything els.

this is proberbly my best shot to date and it has taken me from childhood memories seeing these wonders flash bye.

skywatcher scope 600mm 2xtc croped for composition.

IMAGE: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/madas/king-web.jpg

i will also be showing my other shot of a spotted fly catcher .

again weeks of reaserch and then the time to get the shots.

ive had a bit of a lull again with equipment the bigma has gone back again the af mech has gone tits up so a new one is being installed once that back im goingto make a bigg desition on whether to sell up and move to the d300 and good bird lens.

or sell other lens for the ef400f5.6 .

but all i can say is that after this shot the scope and 40d is staying with me

Wonderful catch Jason.

I finally got my dream setup, that is within my range. I bought a used 1D MkIIN and another 400/5.6. The 8.5fps and superior AF and the fact that I can stack a 1.4x TC and still keep superior AF makes it a great combination for birds. I was worried about 8.2Mp and cropping, but as it turns out, I can crop 100% and more and still not show noise I can not handle in post processing. The 1D also shoots at ISO 800 the way the 40D shoots at ISO 400. The prices are coming down now on the MkIIN's Jason. Well worth looking in to. ;)

Yes, it will work the Bigma just fine. I can not explain the science of why the MkIIN, which is 4 year old technology, can give better images than the 40D with 2 megapixels more and a Digic IV processor, but that's the truth of it. the MkII is just superior in every way. And they are getting cheaper every day. ;)
