Best Contortionst Tripod Out There?

I'm seeking opinions about the most stable contortionist type tripod there is out there.

I'm particularly interested in it being able to overhang or lean over a subject while providing good stability for macro shooting, i.e., supporting a 50D + grip, with a 180mm or an MP-E 65mm macro lens (extended) and flash unit along with micro stage, etc.
It's gotta be stable and with minimum of 'floating' once set and tightened down.
I s'pose I'm after something like the old Benbo's, but maybe lighter.

I'm welcoming all suggestions and opinions on the topic.

I still use a Benbo II big solid and unbeatable.

You can still pick up a Benbo Trekker and Benbo I if you want something smaller.

I have a Feisol CT 3401N Carbon Fiber with the PB-70 Horizontal Adapter Kit. Works great for getting your camera into those special positions.

The revision to the PB-70 is the VH-40HAKit.

Click on products and then choose horizontal adapter.

There's always the Manfrotto 055XPROB or the 190XPROB.
