Dude, the original shot you posted is great and as good as any "macro" shot with a 1:1 lens.

If you still have one of your older 50mm or likewise manual lenses, just duct tap it (Filter end to filter end) or if you like to spend money, buy a proper adapter then no one can stop you from Super duper Macro (As long as you have the light). The other option is to use Reverse adapter (Only one lens in use , lesser mag but still super macro). And you don't have to sell a kidney to get one of these: an eg from Amazon - LINK (external link)

Not much use for sanding in the accounting department at the pickle emporium. Though the hardwood floors could really use it.
