Hi All,

I'm wanting to get myself another 5dII, but it seems like EVERY SINGLE STORE IN THE WORLD is sold out. this sucks so bad i cannot even express the agony... (i'm really bad with such patience things)

anyway, does anyone know a store, some hidden secret place on the internet that just might have a new 5dII body available?

i'm about ready to prostitute myself to get one, it's really that bad.

thanks a million for any help... (or sympathy)

Sean

They're hard to get, but not that hard if you're persistent.

Just watch the big sites stock levels very very closely. They get them in almost every day - so if you watch the sites a LOT, you'll see them come in and go out of stock very very quickly.

If you put your name on one of the backorders, you'll get it too, but it will take longer.

Usually on the product page it will say it is backordered if they don't have it- like this one for example - http://www.adorama.com/CA24142U.html (external link) - so looks like they still have them, I just got one from them recently.

Sean this forum is your friend. Seek and ye shall find. Barry has sold lots of 5D's to members here. He may still have one available for you. See here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=722610

Or lucky!

I called/visited my local photo store about one month before I wanted to buy the 5DmkII and it was out of stock. When I decided to order it from Amazon (with a 2-4 week wait), I called the store one more time and, this time, it was in stock. I bought it during my lunch break:D

Too much stuff, not enough shooting time.

Canon T4i (2 lenses), Fuji X100s, Olympus OM-D EM-1 (3 lenses)

ok, so there seems to be hope, thanks for all the reports back.

it just seems like a crime to have people here in europe wait for so long. one of the biggest resellers has been waiting 3 months now for another shipping...

i was in the states for the entire month of july, but they didn't have a cam anywhere either...

oh well, guess i'll go outside and shoot something (or flash some cars driving by, making them think the police trapped them with a radar gun, and yes, this would make me feel better by making other feel like **** :))))

I would order it from Adorama. Their site will tell you if it's in stock and you'll have it within the week.

Kits still in stock? I canceled my order with Ritz for a body when Adorama first got their kits in back in December and bought one from them. Sold the kit lens in less than a day for the difference between the body and the kit.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!
