Currently I a using zoom browser - mem card utilitu/camera window - to download my shots off the cf card.

It places images in folders by date like so:

2009_04_01

I would like to import via bridge and keep the same style date on the folders... For the life of me I can not seem to figure out how? I can get it to sort into folders by date but I can not replicate the EXACT style as above...

(The closest I can get it is 20090401...)

I have 7 years of shots sorted in folders with this style so I don't really want to change it...

The only way to do it is to use the Custom Name option from the "Create Subfolder(s)" drop-down list and enter the folder name in your preferred format (2009_04_01) in the "Enter Custom Name Here" field.

I used Bridge to import from cards a few times, for some reason it only downloaded some of the images and I didn't realise until half way thru processing. Fortunately I hadn't erased the cards yet. If you use bridge be very very careful. I use windows explorer now.

Tim,
Do you have the most current version? I'm a Bridge user as well, but guess I've just been lucky up to this point. Thanks for the info as I'll be more cautious of this.

I had a similar problem with Canon's software when I first got the 5d2. I was using Zoom Browser's 'camera window' and it sure wasn't getting everything off the card. I re-installed zoom browser and replaced camera window with 'memory card utility' and everything is fine now...
