It's because the order in the "Sell" section is by Thread Start Date.

The threads started the most recent are at the top.

If you want to order the section by the last reply date, then click the "Last post" link at the top of the replies column.

This is so everyone gets a fair chance at selling their gear - people "bumping" their threads don't get much of an advantage over people who place an advert and patiently wait for responses.

And P.S.

Roy, I don;t mean to sound like a pain, but since you asked this question, it may mean that you have not fully read the various informational sticky threads in the market place section.

I would HIGHLY recommend you do so for your own protection.
Knowing the rules of the forum, and reading up on advice on how to protect yourself during online transactions is better to do before you start posting or replying the market section.

.. for those of you old enough may remember this from every episode of a certain police drama;

"be careful out there"
