So this is the jpg file information directly from the camera via exif viewer. As you can see there are two shutter count information, the first one seem to be the number of click the camera made in his life (around 100,000), the second one (other properties) seem the shutter count with the new shutter change in the first year of the camera life. Somedy see something like that before, this information can be reel?

The exif you have is good. You are lucky to be able to get this depth of information. On some Canon bodies it simply isn't available.

Now which of the two values is the most relevent? 24.9k or 90k

Thanks for download, but it doesn't fit on MAC. The programm I use are EXIF VIEWER, it work on native JPG file (No post processing). I think the 90K are the total of the K the camera body made and the 24.9 K the number with the new shutter. The first owner are a pro and buy the camera new (last of the serie before the N, within the first year, the shutter fail and be replace by Canon undet waranty. In the same time the owner buy a 5D, and I think he use it more than the 1D, it's why the low shutter count. I think the whole story look like real and corrobored by the file. I pay 1,200 CDN for it, not a great price, but fair. Now I need more batteries!

At that price, it's a good buy. It'll last for a long time.

When Canon replaced the shutter in mine, they didn't reset the count.

If you want, you can take a small jpg straight from camera and send to me and I can check it for you.

Thank Sonny, I will try. An other strange thing: under the shutter actuation number, there are also a ACTUATION MULTIPLIER, here it's 1. With an other 1D2 camera (rental camera), this morning the camera actuation was at 164925 and the actuation counter at 33853 and the mutiplier at 3. If this multiply the actuation counter it give a total of 101,559K, now i'm lost.....

Hmmm... I use Opanda IEXIF2 and looking at the Exif info with a jpg file straight from camera.

On line 0093, I see this
28, 0, 49913, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0

49913 is the actual count. The "0" infront is the rollover digit. If it's "1" then add 65535 to the total.

I ran 1dcount on the same file and got the exact count.

IMAGE NOT FOUND

Your EXIF viewier is reporting the same data twice, in two different formats. It first reports

-- Camera Actuations: 155608

and then later reports

-- Actuation Counter: 24536
-- Actuation Multiplier: 2

The actuation count is stored only once in the EXIF data, but is recorded as two 16-bit numbers (max value = 65535). If the lower 16-bit value has rolled over twice, and currently reads 24536, the total value is ( 2 * 65536 ) + 24536 = 155608."

I told you that 23 hours ago! But not every model in the 1 range gives that data, even using ExifReader
