Hi, bought the 55-250 and I love it. However today I ran into a problem with it I think. I have used it for 4 days now using the whole spectrum of zoom with no problems. Then this afternoon while taking some pics around Lak Leman I noticed that the top corners of my pics were much darker than the rest of the photo. not the bottoms just the tops. I think you guys call it vignetting. The only thing I did different was bumped up the shutter speed to 320 because of the harsh sunlight. Could this be what caused it? if so why? thanks n advance

can you post a picture...with the exif in tact?...

to me it almost seems like you were using a flash, and just ended up using a shutter that was too fast for the camera, so you got part of the shutter in it...i may be wrong though...

let's see the picture it'll help

you can upload a picture here as long as you resize it, and make it small enough to attach...were you using a flash?

go to the advanced reply...click on the manage attachments...the picture has to be smaller than 1024pixels on one side...also needs to be under 150kb...

make sure it's under the 150kb...if you go to upload it it says right underneath that the file was too big if it doesn't work

and before anyone asks no that is not the sun going down behind the cathedral. The sun was behind me and very low to the horizon. it does the same thing when I took photos toward the sun and at an angle also

I have the 55-250 and that looks typical at 250mm wide open. Try stopping down to F7.1 and it should be better. Or you can remove it in post.

well I have other photos taken 20 minutes before this and no dark corners and I didn;t ajust the shutter speed. I shot these in TV mode and it sets the apt. automatically. so no change there either. I am stumped.

It is much more obvious with blue sky at f5.6
