User was banned? What does that mean?

I, as well as several others recently purchased some gear in the MarketPlace here.... from a poster named Davidletran.

This thread has been closed and the title of the user has been changed to "User is banned from forums".

So, several of us that have just purchased equipment from this user, are kinda nervous now. What gives? Have we been scammed and POTN knows about it, but is going to tell us about it?

I tried contacting privately, but have not heard a response - and I'm getting more and more nervous, so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone know anything.

Any news you can give us would certainly help - either if we have to start contacting PayPal, etc.. to try to get out money back or if we're getting our panties in a wad for nothing...

We have no reason to beleive this guy is actively scamming anyone. You can put your pitchforks back, guys...

that's just a bit disconcerting I must say, why I didn't like my title as that
