DPReview just posted their review of the new 24 L T/S lens. Darn, I jokingly was hoping they'd pan it as no good.

Hehe, me too!

I'd love to get this. The 17 looks great too, but I think I'd rather have the 24. On FF it would be wide enough for most of my needs and I wouldn't have the hassle of trying to get filters on it like the 17 does. I also wouldn't be as nervous with it as the 17 (Have you seen the front element on that?!?)

Anyways, it looks like both these new lenses are pretty much the best WA stuff that Canon has ever produced.

17's front element can poke an eye out.

I just finished reading the review not 10 mins ago. I sighed deeply at the end.

Mine just arrived this afternoon... the review was a better read than the manual :p Going to Sapporo this weekend, so with good weather, might actually get to use it as the Canon Gods intended!

Thanks for the heads up and the link. I am trying to convince myself that I do not want this lens and this review did not help :)

Digital Picture has done a test with this lens. Its sharper than the old 24 TS. And even less CA than the 24 1.4 II.

Not exactly setting a high bar. ;)

What really impresses me is how well the new 24 TS-E handles a 1.4x extender! Check out this comparison: 24 TS-E II + 1.4x v. 45 TS-E, both at f/5.6 (which is stopped down 2 stops for the 45 and 1/3 stop for the 24):

Now I don't know how they would compare tilted or shifted, but I still think it's pretty impressive.
