Anyone here going? Apart from that dodgy Aussie.

If you mean this dodgy Aussie, I'll be driving a Lamborghin Gallardo that weekend so I won't be there.

On a separate topic - do you guys think this 1DII looks like a good prospect at £635 or would you stay clear? Certainly looks like it has had some hard hours put on it. Apart from the explained scratches the hotshoe looks worn, so does the shutter button surround and is has ingrained dirt all over the grip.
Still £635 for a 1d II?

If you're looking for a 1D2 let me know as I'm trying to sell mine. Link at bottom.

Final numbers for Donna Nook ??? ;)

In readiness for Adrians return, here is the list of AFAIK confirmed and "Safari" paid up members.

Laurence.........Box Brownie
Rich..............Swaffs
Rob...............Kaben
Ian...............Iesphotos
Adrian............Adrian512
Adam.............AdamLC
Peter.............Petersymes

Possibles:-
Neal...............Nealhumphris - I hope I did not miss a post but are you "on the list" now

Once finalised with Adrian I will PM you all with my contact details to ask for the £40 per head hotel deposit :)

Edit - re breakfast ~ as we are meeting the guide (?) at 6.45am I asked the hotel if they serve at say 6am, well the answer was yes by arrangement but this will not be a cooked Full English i.e. only a continental type one. Whether we can ask when there for them to try for a bacon butty maybe remains to be seen? Incidently I asked the same question of the B&Bs and all (of the few) bar one said no cooked at that time of day!

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Mine's popped out for the whole weekend, I'm going to be starving by the time she gets back!

You'll probably appreciate this more than others Anke - we went to Vesuvio last night, rather than getting take out pizza. £24 for 2 freshly cooked cracking pizzas (my other half's being made up to her spec), 2 soft drinks, a glass of wine and nibbles while we waited for the pizzas. I love that place!

I think seeing the seals will be an amazing experience so if you can make it that will be great.

Do you think you will be able to confirm today as I think Adrian said he has to pay the Safari company this weekend so perhaps you should drop him a PM for when gets back from Belgium (not clear if he returns this evening or tomorrow morning???).

The hotel is little looser in that I have already told them I hope to confirm & pay deposit by/on Mon 24th August.

:)

I bought it for £100 not £50 and with all second hand computers what are they really worth?

On another note if anyone is interested on bank holiday manday the Old Timers Rally is on the Leas in Folkestone, lots of classic cars on show it's a good day if the weather is nice.

Ah okay, Really not good with laptop pricing, but if it works fine and suits your needs £100 seems fine.

right well off to Heathrow in a couple of hours for my flight to Dubai then onwards to Shanghai.

3100 posts, reckon when I'm back in 3 weeks it will be a new thread? ;)

Oooo Shanghai nice place, be very careful of your possesions and wallet though. Although being foreign you may be safer from pickpockets as the goverment, so i've been told, come down much tougher on them if they get caught.

Only one new thread? ;)
