Whatever it was, it was content to let me stalk up to about 2m away (this is full frame) and let me snap away, run out of battery, go back indoors, change battery, come back outside and get up close again.

I think this is a juvie thrush, but my wife says Blackbird.

Please help me in proving her wrong....

My wife is the expert but looks like a Blackbird to me.

I'm thinking now (after looking at another book), that it's a female blackbird.

Figures.

A male one would never let anyone this close.

And anyone any idea what this is? I don't think it's a wren. It's about 5cm high (this shot is extreme croppage)

QUOTED IMAGE

Why don't you think it's a wren? Have you got any other shots (different angles)?

Tis a lovely shot rob. The extra bokeh works well, but I would edit out the tail completely anyway for the fact it's been cut off. I think that would work better. JMO.

I never thought of that, I will definitely give it a go.

Lovely set and the Cougar leaping is a great capture also the 'look' of the Pallas's cat (thanks Chris ~ looke more like a domestic cat) but a couple need a little lift IMO so have given them a a zip through, hope you find them OK? In the case of the tiger pair ~ a little underexposed and tonally flat - In the case of the (pensive) Leopard needed the details bringing out ;) Working off the web sized images what I have done is maybe a little overcooked?

Methinks a SE POTN meet at WHF needs to be on the books :D

Laurence
Yes definite improvement, I will have to have a proper play with them. Have sent you a pm Neal can definitely come.

Nice one, the only problem is my wife has seen it and will expect me to do the same to pictures of her

If you can come that would be great but as soon as you know could you let Laurence and me know to add you to the list just in case the hotel or the shoot get booked up

Will do, talking to parents when i get home from work.
Just to clarify looking at friday-sunday costing £100 for B&B? any other costs? I think i remember reading some other things but hard to dig up past info.

Also will it be at all possible to get a lift from a train station that is local to the B&B (unless it is walking distance).

Cheers mate, one day I'll get the hang of editing I never seems to be able to get it right so I try to get the shot right when I take it.

Got my first photo printer today, a Canon MP620. A brilliant thing, it's wireless so no need to have it near the 'puter :)

Anyone know how to import settings for lightroom from one computer to another? By this I mean the adjustments that I have made to each image. I setup Lightroom on my new system and imported all the photos from the external HDD but obviously all the adjustments I had made were stored on my other computer. Not a big deal really as I have jpeg versions of all the adjusted shots but it would be nice to transfer.

I'm probably wrong, but I guess you have to copy the catalog over as well.
