I was hoping to be able to go out today with my new 24-105 however it has not arrived yet and so I am sulking somewhat. So much so that I may be forced to partake in some comfort shopping and order a 580EX II....

Starting to wonder if I really need a zoom to cover between 22 and 70. The two primes will cover all I need really. Was considering a 24-70 or a 28-70 if I can find one cheaper but reports seem to be that the prime is sharper and gives better colour. Tempting to PM Kerso. 5D | 40D | Σ24 f1.8 | 50 f1.8 II | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 F4L | 540EZ x2 | Nissin Di622

I may be slightely drunk still.....hmmmmm. Usually the best time to order stuff, by the time the alcohol wears off and the guilt kicks in it's far too late anyway Mstar wrote in post #8757568 Air India is great! Also now considering pulling apart my spare welding mask to try it as a filter. I am ditching my 55-250mm soon as 90 of the shots were at 250 and I wanted more and the other 10% were below 100mm which my 24-105 will now cover. Gonna save for a 300mm f4 & tc next year. Jon

I was going to buy it before Donna Nook anyway, but i was planning to wait until the next pay cheque. At least this way i definitely get it before the expected Canon price increase fo 10% Yeah that worries me, however as I'll be buying most of my stuff 2nd hand going forward I shouldn't feel the hit too much, fingers crossed. Yep and the prices still seem to be ludicrously high too Kaben wrote in post #8757779 It does have an impact on 2nd hand prices too though ![]() After getting the 100-400, i dont think there is anything else i really want as far as my lens lin -up is concerned. Means i can save for a 1Divvy I may look at Sigma if Canon start taking the micheal. A 100-300 f4 EX would probably do me. Jon
