If you are going to use the Dragon's Den "I'm Out" you could at least belittle them somewhat more.

Happy now?:p

Ooooh much.

EDIT: That's also a lot of insurance cover you need. But then if you are walking round a paddock near expensive cars its easy enough to have a costly accident.

Other thing is if I'd not been hanging round here quite so long (and not so naturally cynical) I might have jumped at something like that.

I did something very similar back in July, and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. No payment, no photo credit, but I was happy for the experience that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

Its so hard to get press accredatation - so if you have it why would you want o do it for free! I understand if they were going to set everything up for you and you wanted the experiance.

Those long days soon become boring even if your the other side of the fence if the fruits of your labour are not being recognised and they maybe getting the fruits.

I agree its good to do it for experience a 1 off but these guys expect week in week out by the sounds of it and thats not on, think of fuel, food, time to get to events etc.

I know if I was selling images after the event I'd want guys with the right kit and experience and 9 times out of 10 they are ones who have the accreditation already and getting paid.

True, after the weekend's work, I was exhausted... :D

I'd think this guy would have enough applications to simply send the closest person to any race meeting. The risk I see is if a complete novice is sent to a racetrack without knowing the ropes. I'd have been pretty confused in places if Rich wasn't around to guide. I'm also old enough and ugly enough to respect the professionals there. Younger, more trigger-happy photographers are more of a risk of messing up someone else's day.

Where are the best places for the november fireworks in the SE? Normally I go to Edenbridge, but have been to Lewes and Leeds Castle, but I fancy a change. Is there anything good around Medway/Maidstone?

Somewhere where it's not raining would be a good bet, I think...

Brockham (sp?) is the nuts, well it has been great for the last 2 years.
I live in East Grinstead so it's quite a trek but well worth it :)
