Cheers chaps,

just to throw something else into this conversational pot, anyone know anywhere [preferably near here] that might happen to be pushing out recon crt tubes? mines on the turn and as yet cant get on with panels, would be nice to have a couple of as new lacie blues, [even better NEW]
or alternatively any showrooms near brighton where they might be able to tempt me into converting, so far in terms of the new breed of led, I only saw the new Apple cinemas, and they were just ridiculously "my eyes my eyes aaaaaaaaaargh my eyeeeessss" over bright..

Hmmm...I don't know about fireworks chaps and I also know nothing about CRT tubes...sorry! Thomas, I have a Dell 2209WA monitor which is very nice for image editing (although at the default settings it also burns your eyes!!).

Right, my turn for a question - photo shoot of a brother/sister 20 year olds as a present for their mum - does £40 quid sound about right for my time + a print? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to portrait shoots!

If I was a customer, that's about what I'd expect to pay (considering a nice frame and having out mounted would add to that amount).

I wouldn't expect the shoot to be much more that half an hour or so, the subjects are quite camera shy I think so don't want to go to over the top. It's a local shoot so anly about 15 minutes travelling. Print size will be around 12x8 I would think.

My wife paid £85 for sitting and 5 prints from Mothercare of my daughter. 3x 7x5, 1x 8x10, 1x10x20. I rolled my eyes, but to be fair she does look lovely in the shots and their studio environment is better than anything I've knocked together so far.
