Feels good to say that doesn't it.
Glad you've prioritised access to POTN in the new job too

Yep it's the National Express trains, if I had passed my driving test already I could've driven to Upminster and got the tube, but still a little while away yet.

Don't want to be picking up bits here and there and costing more on the delivery. Going to a shop and buying the bits in person seems easier mind. attach it to a tripod plate and then you have a DIY rapid strap

Downside is I think the yanks as usual don't use English for these things. I can't seem to find these products in the UK so suspect we call them something different, and googling for straps finds me watch straps and bag straps rather than lengths of webbing straps that aren't for a military purpose. 5D | 40D | Σ24 f1.8 | 50 f1.8 II | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 F4L | 540EZ x2 | Nissin Di622

So I can make my strapping, and knock up a carry thing for my tripod. Just need to source a "snap hook" that will work, or say sod it and weld a ring to a bolt to go in the base of the camera, which is probably an easier option. Total cost so far £6, I may be able to make 3 of these straps for the rough cost of the one in the thread I linked to. 5D | 40D | Σ24 f1.8 | 50 f1.8 II | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 F4L | 540EZ x2 | Nissin Di622

Made my own shutter release for the camera, improvised some bits for my belt which this kit may help improve. Made a number of those DIY softbox projects. Amazing what you can achieve with silver gaffa tape, some tracing paper and a cardboard box. 5D | 40D | Σ24 f1.8 | 50 f1.8 II | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 F4L | 540EZ x2 | Nissin Di622
