This was taken last night around 6:45PM near the new Pitt river bridge.

70-200mm F4 IS w/ 1.4x TC

They look like heavy crops, but good shots nonetheless.

yes due to the lack of reach. I had to crop it to show some details. I was just excited because it's one of the closest I've ever shot of the hawk. They usually get spooked easily. Thanks for your comment.

Really! my bad. I thought it was a hawk because I thought Osprey was a lot smaller.

I was about to check and see where you were from to see if they had red-tailed hawks that look like that wherever you are -- but yeah -- nice shots of an osprey.

Area code 604 = Vancouver, BC. But this shot was taken at a dike in Pitt Meadows, BC
