I think i smoothed the skin out a bit too much in number 2

and the grey patch in number 3 is an editing error that i am too lazy to fix right now other than that have at it

#4 is the best of the bunch.... The first 3 seem to have a soft focus that I'm not a fan of (but that's just me)
# 5 is awesome, just a tad too dark

4&5 are my faves..but I think they are too dark and I think they are all WAY too soft.

4 & 5 are great. First three are not on the other hand. Too much PP for my taste.

ok the first three are supposed to be soft i was trying to achieve a dreamy look, the origninals are much shaper. You mention the last two are soft, I didnt think they came out as sharp as this lens is capable of.

To tell you the truth after this shoot I was not so impressed with the lens as i though i would be, i am hoping it is user error any ideas on what to do next to get sharper images. I can post the originals that do not have the extreme PP if that helps any.

the last 2 were taken at 1/320 F4 98mm, with the focus point directly over her eye

Please post the originals. I'll bet they are great shots which would benefit from less/different processing.

One thing to watch out for is having the arms tight against the side or leaning on them. You will get a better perspective on them if they are bent and away from the body without leaning on them.

The image itself look sharp, but it still looks like the skin is heavily processed. Also see if you can tone down the highlights.

Were these natural light or did you have off camera lighting?

they are nice is the sense of posesing and subject beauty..

the lighting is soft and flat.. wish you put a speedlight on her.. with an umbrella you can do wonders..

all and all good work.. take it from me.. ambient light is hard to find and when you don't find it.. whip out the off camera flash to do your work in...

i have tried ambient light and never find it consistently..
