This was taken last April when we had the POTN gathering in Golden Gate Park.
Some of us hung around kind of late. :p

This was the result of hanging around.
Taken from Fort Baker.

There were a few ships in the night (literally) going under the bridge.
You can see just the trailing edge of some to the middle left of the image above.

I didn't want to hi-jack and post these in Duff's thread. ;)

As others have stated, absolutely amazing. What settings/lens did you use?

Thanks.
Both taken with my 50D and the 24/105 f/4.0 IS, mounted on a tripod with the IS off.
The first one is 13 seconds at f/6.3 at the wide end (24mm).
Taken at 20:41hrs on April 25th.
The second one is at 50mm, again at f/6.3 for 25 seconds.
Shot at 20:53hrs on the same day.
Edit: ISO 100

It is a trip. But the fact that I live here, I kinda get spoiled with the views. :p
It's only about an hour for me to get to the Golden Gate Bridge.
It's actually a shame that I don't get out there more often.
Now that the summer is here, I should be able to get some great foggy shots of it.

Very nice job. We didn't really get enough recon time to figure out how to get down there, so we (Duff and I) shot from above at the usual place. Looks like we need to check it out a little better next time. We did shoot several from right on the water (feet wet) in Sausalito. Good sushi there too! We shot late enough that we didn't get back to Santa Rosa until after midnight. I was born in SF, but never lived there. I go back as often as possible.

Thanks for the new angle.

I would love to go to a group shoot sometime at the Marin Headlands.
Wife and I have shot there a couple of times but would enjoy a group outing.
