She didn't need much coaxing to smile or laugh...a joy to work with! Off camera lighting (580ex2 and 430ex) used with new PW Mini-TT5 & TT1

cute gal.... I'm not really sure what to say about the lighting. It looks flat and you said you used two extra light sources. Which makes it 3 lights at your disposal. soo... what happned?

I agree with korrektor, the light looks flat.
Did you have all strobes at same power level and same distance?
Use one flash as a main light and others to fill with lower power level.
That way you can create some shadows and model will look more 3D

No...No offense taken....that's quite alright...although I didn't ask, I wouldn't post if I didn't expect comments and opinions. That's how we learn. I just wanted enough light on her face to fill and remove shadows under her eyes, nose and lower lip. Can I ask how you would have lit her, positioned lights, etc?

you removed the shadows, all right... the absence of which makes the image flat. The goal is to avoid this. Semmonka has it right for you.
Create shadows by overpowering ambient light. Control shadows by another light opposing the first one.

main flash power --------> OO <--fill flash power

Another pretty young senior :)

Your use of extra light has done some damage.

Yes reading the earlier reviews and studying the images clearly, the teeth need touch up.

Overall, good photographs.

You are right. Most people here are much more critical than your average consumer. Looking at your images alone they would look good to a potential customer. But making the changes and improvements suggested would make them look better when comparing them to other photos (competion) and will help getting more work.

You are open to the comments, which means your images will improve and your client base should grow as your skills do.

<<has no skills and no clients, so take it FWIW. :D
