My kids and found this baby bird while out on a "listening walk" near our house. We have decided that it is 3-4 weeks old but cannot ID what kind of bird it is. Can anyone poitively ID this for us???

pretty sure its a cedar waxwing, pretty much the only bird I can think of that has yellow on its tail like that

Well that yellow tail stripe has 'waxwing' written all over it, anyone agree?

Yes, a Waxwing. Did you rescue it? It eats berries and fruit, mashed at that age, and bugs, maybe some crickets, mashed. The adults go after small bugs in the trees, like mosquito size, but I don't know of anything that small you can buy. Never give it bread and milk. Milk is really bad for birds.

Where did you find it?
This bird looks like it's fledged or almost ready to fledge. A lot of times birds will leave the nest almost fully ready to fly and are still very closely watched/cared for by the parents. Taking them in will probably be the end of this bird.
It'd be best if you went back to where you found this chick and look for its parents or a nest, and best if you leave the chick there. More than likely its parents will come back for it and feed it.
Whenever you find baby birds it is best to leave them on their own, even if it seems like they are helpless.

And yes, this is a fledgling Cedar Waxwing.
