One Sunpak 544 to my left about 8 feet and behind me by about 5 feet, light stand raised to 8 feet angled down. 1/2 power.
One Sunpak 544 to my right about 10 feet and on another obstacle, above me 3 feet, with the lightstand raised to about 6 feet angled down. 1/2 power.
One Nikon SB-24 to my left about 12 feet and in front of me about 8 feet, behind the ledge just out of the frame, zoomed to 50mm and at full power.

That skater has good concentration to be landing that air with three flashes nailing him.

I'm thinking of getting into shooting skating again.

I've got some originals of Tony Hawk when he was a grom. I dug them out (slides) a couple nights ago, and am going to get them scanned.

Actually, skating with flashes is not as bad as one would think. I've had photos shot of me before, and most of the time you don't even notice it. But yeah, Charlie's really good haha!

Haha, in every thread someone has asked about the tree. They're called Palo Verde, which literally means "Green Stick." It's a tree with green bark that is native to the southwest.
