I am wondering if I'm doing this the best way or not. This is my currently Lightroom key wording Hierarchy. Anyone else care to share what they're doing?

> Soccer
etc..

I can imagine breaking out the Venue out into a separate tree, but I'm not sure other than saving a few keystrokes if it will make me find a particular image faster.

Thanks.

Pretty much like what I'm using, except I mirror the tags with the directory structure I use for the files. So I can find the file I want without going into LR.

Similar. When I save off a card it goes to a directory named so:

09 07 21 - Place &/or subject
(yy mm dd)

So there is a different folder for each days shooting, then the images in each folder are keyworded, first every image with the terms that apply to all, then groups of images with more specific tags. Pretty much everything I can think of that may be useful down to sometimes very specific things. Lightroom does a gr8 job of sorting through all of it.

Thank you all. At least I'm not off the reservation with my keywording.

I do use a semi flat folder structure, yyyymmdd-type-Subject/TeamVsTeam.
(ex: 20090721-WS-RR LongIslandVsConneticut == WS being Women Soccer)
