The title says it all. If I install a 72/77 step up ring can I still use the hood designed for the 72mm lens?
I don't have the lens in front of me so I'm trying to visualize it without much luck.

Hermes Goldmember 2,375 posts Joined Mar 2006 Location: London, UK More info | Jul 20, 2009 20:11 | #2 The 77mm filter will usually fit inside the hood but only from the wide end (not the end that screws onto the lens) so you'd have to put the hood on first and then reach in to screw the filter on which is somewhere between very difficult and impossible.
