weird, OK, I had a whole long post written out. PotN won't let me post it. Posted the above, and now I can't edit it. Anyway, used the CC all day sunday, both at a boat show and at the zoo, both places with my 18 month old son alone. Worked VERY well (belt portion only). My only issue now is sorting out if I want it on a gripped Lbracket, on a RRS lever clamp or what (currently I'm using it on my RRS body only L bracket with the button on a RSS screw clamp but I don't like having to switch it for the grip using a tool often).

but I'm a HUGE fan now after using it all weekend. :)

Ben, it's probably the new Nikon detection system installed in the recent downtime here at POTN.

Do you still have your 5d2 or did you have to provide that to the insurance company?

If you did, it would be cool to turn it into an ashtray or a pencil holder, or something.. (although I guess you could probably part it out too - might be able to make some money from it for something... )

still have it although it's on loan to a custom housing manufacturer in CA (he needed one to position the switches). Ironically I'd emailed him months ago about possibly getting one, he emailed me back the day after it got wet.

When it get's back I'm not sure what I'll do, but if I were to make ANY money from it (parts, selling use/broken etc) I'd have to give that money to the insurance company anyway no? The one tempting thing for me is the guy who makes the housings said he'd like it, so maybe trade? But yeah, I won't be selling it or attempting to fix it.

Hello to everyone.

After checking out the reviews and looking at the video, I purchased one. The problem is that I haven't revieved it and I can't find a contact number or address. My Juno e-mail to them was kicked back and I don't have access to Outlook. Can anyone who has recieved theirs provide me with an address or phone number?

Thanks,
George

What email address did you try?

I'd try both of these:

I've found one serious problem with the Cotton Carrier. I've found that being able to carry two bodies/lenses is so easy that I want to carry a third body/lens. Now I have to figure out if I want to buy another holster, or if I'm just a huge nutcase.

I have a 46" chest, and it fits me perfectly. The shoulder straps are pulled as tight as I can get them, and I have a good foot or so of extra waist strap hanging out the back. The strap for the buckle that goes into the front flap has about a foot of extra strap as well. It looks like they built it to fit a pretty big person.

It's got huge adjustability. You'd have to be quite big or wear a huge amount of clothing for it not to fit.

OK, I officially LOVE the belt option. I know I keep saying how I'll get pics up, but it's hard to when you're in the woods w/o a mirror.....

Anyway, I used the belt option on my pants with my boda bag and my Son on my back in a humancarrier. ;)

this is as good of a shot as I could get (and the CC is on my other side):

but the point is I hiked for ~45minutes up and ~30 down w/o any issues. It was amazing honestly. I guess the only issue I had as that my pants were falling down a bit as the child pack pushed down on them but that's because I've lost weight and could use another hole. Plus, had I put the CC on the baby carrier belt it would have been even better. I can also put it on the bod belt if I want to but combined, a lens bag like that and the CC was just AWESOME.

I had one of the guys with me shoot a pick of me with the boda, CC and baby all loaded up, once he posts it I'll be sure to share. :)

and actually, here are two where you can see the holster:

oh, and of the group that was with me that day, all 4 of the guys shoot. All 4 were very interested in the belt options once they saw mine in use. One of them gave me HELL for getting one the first day I showed it to him, but after seeing it in use on the hike (and realizing I wasn't going to use the chest option unless I'm on a boat).... They ALL thought it was very well done and were interested. The price might be an issue (they were all a bit bummed when I told them $60 for the belt option) but they all loved it once they saw it in person.

Great photos Ben, and I really like that last one!

thanks, the "fish on a stick" idea is my goto group portrait shot now since I'm part of the group. Granted it's a UWA now, not a fish anymore, but they're always fun!

here's one with the FE:
